The
Longview Bluegrass Music Association was created for one purpose, to
promote our American Bluegrass Music
heritage and increase the availability and enjoyment of Bluegrass for
everyone in the Greater Longview area.
The
Longview Bluegrass Music Association was founded five and a half years
ago to fill a need in Longview for
Bluegrass music. Every Saturday one could drive to one of several locations
to enjoy and participate in local
jams and Bluegrass shows. Longview, however, even though centrally located,
had no regular get-together and, so,
the Longview Bluegrass Music Association was formed and 1st Saturday
Bluegrass Music Night was born!
The Longview Bluegrass Music Association is open to all lovers
of Bluegrass, whether as listeners or musicians.
The LBMA produces 1st Saturday Bluegrass Music Night now at
its new location, in the Center Court of Longview Mall
on the north Loop in Longview, Texas. Every 1st Saturday of each month,
year-round, the LBMA offers one of the
best Bluegrass shows in the area, free and fun for the whole family.
